The Ice Station offers a Squirt through Midget (ages 8-18)        In House Youth Hockey Program. The Valencia Youth Hockey League (VYHL) emphasizes player skill development, with the introduction and advancement of team play while creating a fun environment for learning. Players are encouraged to have fun, learn the fundamentals of hockey, sportsmanship and fair play within a friendly competitive environment.

Ice Station Valencia offers 2 VYHL seasons per year. The Spring-Summer season starts annually in March/ April and the Fall-Winter campaign starting in September. Currently the VYHL has over 250 youth players participating in
4 divisions.

The divisions are as follows:

Squirt (ages 8-10)
Pee Wee (ages 11- 12)
Bantam (ages 13-15)
Midget (ages 16-18)

The VYHL features the following for all divisions:

• Play under USA Hockey Rules and Guidelines
• USA Hockey certified officials
• USA Hockey CEP certified coaches
• Team Jerseys and socks
• 2 Evaluation/ draft sessions
• 18 Regular season games plus playoffs (for qualifying teams) & 18 shared practices
• State of the art facility with 2 ice surfaces(NHL & Olympic), full service pro shop open 7 days a week and a full service restaurant
• Large locker rooms with individual stalls
• Web based statistics, schedule and league information via Sportibility
• All participants receive an end of year participation trophy
• Team and individual photos (Fall-Winter season only)

Cost:
Individual player cost for all seasons is $795 if paid in full at time of registration. If the 2 payment plan is taken, cost is $840 (signed credit card authorization form with credit card # must be on file with league office)

Registration/ Documentation requirements:
Completed USA Hockey Online Membership.
Completed VYHL registration form, waiver and credit card authorization (if taking 2 payment plan).
Must bring completed, signed registration form and Valid USA Hockey registration to first evaluation session

Required Equipment:

• HECC certified helmet with full face protection
• Hockey Stick
• Hockey Skates
• Hockey Pants
• Athletic supporter or pelvic protector
• Elbow pads
• Shoulder Pads
• Hockey Gloves
• Shin Guards
• Mouth Guard (only required in the Pee Wee division or above)
