Ice Station Valencia’s Little Tykes Hockey Program is designed to introduce the exciting game of hockey to children ages 6 years and under in a fun and comfortable environment. The program begins with young players who have generally already been through Hockey Tots. They should have the basics of skating forwards and backwards down and are ready to be introduced to hockey sticks and pucks. All this on an ice surface designed specifically for young skaters!
Most of the hockey equipment your young skater will need is also provided on a loaner basis.
The following equipment will be checked out to skaters the second week of the session.
- Shoulder Pads
- Shin Guards
- Hockey Gloves
- Elbow Pads
- Jersey
- Hockey Stick
- Hockey Bag
Skaters will need to provide their own skates, helmet with full face protection, and athletic supporter or pelvic protection.
We offer the following courses:
- Little Tykes 1- Mondays 5:15 PM-6:15 PM or Saturdays 8 AM – 9 AM
- Little Tykes 2- Saturdays 9 AM – 10 AM. This class is only available with Ice Station Valencia Hockey Department Approval.
All classes will run for 10 weeks and total cost including loaner equipment is $195 (plus a refundable deposit for equipment).
