As an eight year NHL veteran and 1996 & 1998 NCAA Division I National Champion with the Michigan Wolverines, Coach Muckalt hales from Vancouver, British Columbia and now resides in Valencia, CA and has been named the Head Coach of the Valencia Flyers Junior A Hockey Club playing at the Ice Station in the WSHL (Western States Hockey League). Having played with the Vancouver Canucks, N.Y. Islanders, Ottawa Senators and most recently the Minnesota Wild, he has had the opportunity to play for and learn from some of the best coaches in the game today, including Mike Keenan, Jacques Lemaire, Jacques Martin and Red Berenson. During his career Coach Muckalt was considered a power forward with a knack for the net. He was the runner up for the prestigious Hobey Baker Award annually given to the Nations outstanding division I hockey player. He was twice named the NHL’s rookie of the month in the 1998/1999 campaign.
Ice Station's Power Skating Class is back and better than ever! Every Tuesday @ 6PM we will be hosting a hockey based power skating class instructed by our own Valencia Flyers Head Coach Bill Muckalt. Coach Muckalt is a 8 year NHL veteran, Division I National Championship winner with the Michigan Wolverines and runner up to the prestigious Hobey Baker Award annually given to the nations best Div. I college hockey player.
Coach Muckalt has prepared an exciting curriculum to improve your skill and power on skates using proven power skating techniques that have put hundreds of players into the NHL.

The 5th Annual Memorial Day Hockey Challenge kicks off this Wednesday night at Ice Station Valencia. Local teams will play games Wednesday and Thursday night with the first full day of games starting on Friday. Topping out at 52 teams and with 101 games spread over 4 days, Ice Station will host over 800 young hockey players and their families from all over the Western United States.
Ice Station’s Grill will host a Tournament BBQ in front of Ice Station on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 6:30pm, with special prices on food and drinks all tournament long. Make sure to stop by the back deck area and catch NHL Playoff action on Ice Station’s 60” High Definition Television.
